London Gatwick Can Someone Tell Me The Best Way To Get From London Gatwick Airport To Kensington?

Can someone tell me the best way to get from London Gatwick Airport to Kensington? - london gatwick

Since I have never been to London, trying to understand how the airport to the hotel will cost a small fortune to move in a taxi. The hotel is located in Kensington, and I fly Gatwick.

If you live in Kensington will probably not need money. After arriving at Victoria Station on the Gatwick Express or other form, probably about 1.5 miles from your hotel. I do not believe in my luggage on the subway to save this little journey by taxi.

Virtually no one takes a taxi from Gatwick Airport to London. The expense is outrageous.

Take the Gatwick Express (30 minutes, trains every 15 minutes from the airport) to Victoria Station. EUR 16.90 for one and you can buy your ticket on the train, at no additional cost.

Then take the Underground to Victoria Station to take to your hotel (or a taxi if you are exhausted to take jet lag and) heavy luggage.
When you say a note that you can stay in the hotel, I tell you that the next subway station. Or you can look good on the website Journey Planner from Transport for London, here: http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XS ... Victoria as a simple starting point and the nature of the code in your hotel destination.

If you come by subway or bus, all during your stay, it is worthwhile to buy a Oyster card. You pay a deposit of £ 3 and then the tank, simply fill out the money in a pay-as-you-trip basis. Oyster cards are configured so that you will always buy the cheapest fare on the London Underground. A through the same link above. \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ U0026lt;br>

Take the Gatwick Express from the airport to Victoria Station. In Victoria, go into the tube (subway) and take the Circle or District line to High Street Kensington and South Kensington (depending on which one) next to the hotel.

Just to add what has been said, I would say that a 'train from Gatwick South, rather than the Gatwick Express. It is cheaper £ 6 (EUR 10.90 for a Gatwick - Victoria only) and only 5-10 minutes slower than the Gatwick Express. I always have the South (and Connex South Central, as before) was to train, when I flew to Gatwick and found the service perfectly adapted. trains every 15 minutes, most of them express only 2 or 3 stops in front of Victoria Station, 6 pounds in his pocket ... Cushty!
